Paa was a much awaited movie. The concept itself was generating a lot of curiosity and finally it is out in theaters now. I didn’t had anything in my mind before i went to see it, just was expecting a good, quite and a touching  movie.

Let me tell you one thing first, this is no Oscar material nor a National award nominee. And is not also a Bachchan family drama (thing which i was so sceptic about). There is no message coming out of the movie and nor is the movie preaching any idealistic cause. It doesn’t pretend to sympathize with the patients of Progeria. The film is based on a genetic disorder known as Progeria.

Then, what is this film about?. This is a movie which portrays a child’s life, it has the right amount of great humor. Sweet chemistry between Amol Arte (Abhishek Bachchan) and Vidya (Vidya Balan) and human emotions. Everything in the right places and in appropriate amount, nothing is too tragic nor is all hunky-dory. The film has a great flow and you just become unaware of the time flying by. All the movie watchers wanting something spicy, tragic and loud will be disappointed for sure.

Music by Ilayaraja is the second best thing of the movie, first best thing being the script. The music doesn’t distract you from the story, songs come and go and are very well embedded in the movie. The songs Mudhi Mudhi, Gumm Summ Gumm and Hichki Hichki  are too good and will keep you holding on to your seats. Nothing seems out of place.

A movie which made me think on child psychology. Just go watch the movie for it’s  simplicity and innocence.
